Dr. Dee: An English Opera

Looking forward to this. You can hear Albarn speaking about the project here.

I was fortunate enough to see Albarn's and Chen Shi-zheng's Monkey: Journey to the West at the Royal Opera and although Hewlett's design and the performance were incredible, it's Albarn's music that stays with me. I hesitate to use the term Renaissance Man, but he's certainly on his way to becoming one.

And to think, once upon a time there was such a thing as the Blur-Oasis war.

Ridiculous.

To reference Gallagher while discussing Albarn is akin to mentioning the ugly one form the Sugababes and Mozart in the same breath.
